| Model's Description: World Map 3d model contains 93,241 polygons and 62,421 vertices. A world map is a map of most or all of the surface of the Earth. World maps form a distinctive category of maps due to the problem of projection. Maps by necessity distort the presentation of the earth’s surface. These distortions reach extremes in a world map. The many ways of projecting the earth reflect diverse technical and aesthetic goals for world maps. This is a digital model of the entire world, including Antarctica. Note that this map includes the country of Yugoslavia before it separated. Approx 58694 polygons. Made with 3 and 4 point polygons. Includes different colors to separate the countries. Includes 187 separate parts for each country, Antarctica, islands, and the base/ ocean. This version includes an mtl file, which your software program should read to colorize the model.
