Model's Description: hair wip 3d model contains 78,830 polygons and 40,502 vertices. Same model just trying out a realistic whispery look. I have visited and revisited the hair model so many times, played around with so many settings, and with UE producing really realistic results, it seems like a waste of time. Although this hair is generated by brushed and styled hair curves, then using a hair card generator to make the thicker mass and finally my procedural hair for the strands. It went from bald to this in less than 2 hours, and most of the time is fiddling with the parameters in sketchfab. The UVs are also procedurally generated. The main difference between this and the other recently release version is that I tweaked it to have more hairs at the roots, and fewer at the ends. Seems very obvious but the nature of the geo closes at the ends, and with UVs generated evenly, it has the reverse effect. I admit if more time is spent on brushing the hair, and inserting extra cards down the parting I will get better coverage. Other parameters are in the works so I can have fewer polygons |
