Model's Description:

Soviet Vega Space Probe 3d model contains 11,676 polygons and 6,687 vertices.

The Soviet Vega space probe was a series of missions during the 1980s. Comprising two spacecraft, Vega 1 and Vega 2, these missions were conducted to study the planets Venus and Halley’s Comet. Both spacecraft’s primary objectives included studying Venus’ atmosphere, surface, and magnetic field. Additionally, they released descent modules equipped with instruments designed to land on Venus and gather data from the planet’s harsh environment. One of Vega’s most notable achievements was its encounter with Halley’s Comet in March 1986. These missions marked the first and only time that a spacecraft conducted a close flyby of a comet’s nucleus, providing valuable insights into the composition and characteristics of comets. The Vega space probe missions were important contributions to planetary exploration and our understanding of celestial bodies within our solar system
