Michelangelo not only designed the Laurentian Reading Room, but also its furnishings (see Corpus 558, Casa Buonarroti) The books that comprised the Medici collection were originally housed in the cubbies under the desks. This model has been reconstructed by Victoria Valdes at The University of Virgina from photogrammetric scans taken by ZeuxisVR in summer 2021. - Michelangelo, Desk from Laurentian Library - 3D model by ZeuxisVR |
