Medieval coin brooch 3D Model |
|
Model's Description: Medieval coin brooch 3d model contains 176,750 polygons and 88,397 vertices. This digital reconstruction depicts an early medieval brooch found in 2022 by a metal detectorist in Wiltshire - United Kingdom. The brooch was made using a coin (penny) dating to the early 1050s CE during the reign of Edward the Confessor (1042-1066). Interestingly it was the reverse side of the coin that was displayed when the brooch was worn - presumably because it had crosses on it and as such was a form of religious badge. For more information on this find see Current Archaeology magazine - October 29 2023 - link below: https://the-past.com/shorts/objects/finds-tray-early-medieval-brooch/ ‘ I have not published many models on Sketchfab over the last few months because I have been busy making reconstruction models for the YouTube channel - Time Team Official - the monthly News Update videos - a great channel to watch! - Medieval coin brooch - Download Free 3D model by Andy Woodhead (@Andywoodhead) |
