Model's Description:
Interkosmos 2000 3d model contains 520,993 polygons and 288,781 vertices.
This is the main and only ship’s hull in the “Interkosmos 2000” game for Oculus Quest 2 (soon also PC VR). We worked on the geometry together as a team, in close collaboration with the game designers, as almost all the elements of the cabin have a function in the game, they are simply interface elements, but in 3d, which by the way was a big challenge for us, as designing the individual panels was more like working on the interior of a real shuttle, rather than a game cockpit that is only supposed to “look cool”. While working, we were inspired by real spacecraft interiors, trying to find the sweet spot between how Russians and Americans design them. In addition to me, the following team is responsible for the geometry:
Natalia Bialorczyk
Kirill Maushuk
under the artistic direction of Ala Symela. My duties, in addition to modeling, included checking the geometry for optimization, as well as UVmap verification and corrections, and for the most part, texturing |
