Model's Description: Historic Clock 3d model contains 437,732 polygons and 218,848 vertices. This modified lantern wall clock converted to a clockwork mechanism, exhibits an arched dial with detailed scrollwork. It has the name James Michell of London on its face. The clock is part of the collection from the Moseley Homestead, a National Register of Historic Places site in Brandon, Florida. The 1886 homestead was originally owned by Charles Scott Moseley and his wife Julia Daniels Moseley and later their descendants. Charles Scott Moseley was an inventor and watchmaker, including time as a watchmaker with the Elgin plant in Illinois, where he had a 40-year career as First Superintendent. The Moseley collections include several examples of early watches and clocks, including this piece that possibly dates to c. 1780 - 1820 based on its dial characteristics, presence of double numbering with minutes and a second hand, engraved spandrels, trefoil hands, and overall design |
