| Model's Description: Gunpowder barrels 3d model contains 285,104 polygons and 143,786 vertices. Gunpowder was stored in barrels in a special gunpowder magazine. Just like wine, the barrels had to be turned regularly to avoid the gunpowder stuck together. When used in battle, only a few barrels would be transported to the gun batteries, and gunpowder would be transported to the guns in leather buckets, all for safety reasons, see volume 1 of the “MĂ©moires d’artillerie” by Surirey de Saint Remy (BnF). The gunpowder magazine is also surrounded by water and by wooden posts, as additional security measures. The barrels could also be turned into bombs by inserting a fuse in the top lid |
