|
Model's Description: Colt M16A1 3d model contains 46,047 polygons and 30,007 vertices. Colt’s iconic M16A1. Derived from ArmaLite’s AR15, the Colt Model 603, commonly referred to as the M16A1, was the final model that had all of the improvements required by the US Military from its previous iterations. It was introduced into service in 1967 and was the main weapon issued to US soldiers during the Vietnam War. In 1982 the M16A1 was phased out by the M16A2 but is still in use by some armies today. This was definitely the most complex model I’ve created (so far) and I had a lot of fun making it. I had been working on this a while on the side when I wasn’t doing school work. I was constantly restarting the project as I was improving at modeling and realizing I was doing stuff wrong. Modeled in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, and rendered with Marmoset |
