| Model's Description: Chicken Foot 3d model contains 347,231 polygons and 173,624 vertices. In the early days of the RISD Nature Lab, founder, Edna Lawrence, would source fresh chicken feet from a local butcher in Providence and allow students to manipulate the the malleable specimens to better inform their anatomical illustrations. Many former students still vividly remember how Ms. Lawrence would pull on the exposed tendons of a chicken foot to demonstrate how it would still engage the digits. Though shocking to some, her characteristic hands-on approach to learning nurtured curisoity and understanding in her students.
