Bust of Augustus, Munich 3d model contains 99,972 polygons and 62,594 vertices.

The so-called “Augustus Bevilacqua” bust, in the Munich Glyptothek (inv. 317). The bust depicts Augustus (the first emperor of Rome) wearing the “Corona Civica” or Civic Crown. The Civic Crown was a high military honor awarded to Roman citizens who saved the lives of fellow citizens. In the case of Augustus, he recieved the honor for ending the series of civil wars (the most recent perpetuated by Augustus himself) that had plagued the Roman Republic in the wake of Julius Caesar’s assassination. This portrait bust is in white marble and approximately 54cm in height. Like many other portraits of Augustus, including the full-length portrait called the “Prima Porta Augustus”, it depicts Augustus as a young man (Augustus died in 14 CE at the age of 75)
