Battle For Hoth Diorama 3D Model |
|
Model's Description: Battle For Hoth Diorama 3d model contains 344,547 polygons and 275,744 vertices. I’m proud to finally present a project I’ve been working on since 2015: A diorama scene depicting the Battle of Hoth from “Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back”. My ultimate goal was to present drama and emotion through percieved detail while limiting my polycount as much as possible; Putting weight and motion into each hand-posed character to mimic the feeling one might get looking at a table with wargaming miniatures. The concept was partially inspired by the Halo 3 “Believe” ad series. Workflow: No external textures were used, only vertex color painting and some baking for PBR compatability and reduced file size. Done 100% in Blender3D. What I Learned in the Process: Getting to extensively use vertex painting was one of the most fun aspects of this project. I also gained a lot of experience in basic character modelling, and until now, I had never used Blender’s rigging system. I gained so much more confidence in Cycles materials, and particle effects as well. Thanks for viewing! - Battle For Hoth Diorama - 3D model by KyleBlaine (@arcangel3d) |
