|
Model's Description: Annie. Balaenoptera physalus, MUSMED (Livorno) 3d model contains 406,693 polygons and 203,260 vertices. She is Annie, a fin whale found on the shores of Piombino in 1990. The skeleton is more than 19 metres long and it weights around 27 tons. Right in the garden of the Museo di Storia Naturale del Mediterraneo (MUSMED) was built the beautiful Sala del Mare that now hosts Annie and other cetaceans and dioramas. The architectural project was made by architect Giuseppe Milanesi. The external shape of the Sala del Mare recalls the profile of a large cetacean, and inside of it seems to be in the shell of a big wooden ship. Annie, which is the symbol and the logo of the Museo di Storia Naturale del Mediterraneo, is featured in the short cartoon movie BLU, made by Andrea Camerini. wiki page for the finback whale https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fin_whale for more info on the Museo di Storia Naturale del Mediterraneo http://musmed.provincia.livorno.it/2/ - Annie.
